All of the Simply Gilded pens are wonderful, honestly. I have EDS and so some pens can be downright painful to use but these are a pleasure to write with. The high-quality gel refills are smooth and bold, yet fine enough to use in a grid journal with no problems. I have bought many of these so I can have them at hand all around the house. They are just as functional for clearly addressing envelopes to my pen pals as they are beautiful when writing in my delicate tomoe river paper planner. I am a fountain pen girl at heart, but I'm also an all around nerd for writing instruments in general. You want more than one of these gorgeous workhorses in your collection. Buy two, and a few refills because you're going to use them all the time. :) Bonus points for being an eco-conscious choice since they can be refilled and reused indefinitely.
